All hail the Throne of Glass

I’m all for an obsession, but this series changed everything for me. You can call me dramatic, but the way these eight books were written will never be matched. Each book, each character, and every plot could standalone, only for them to merge with the phenomenal epic finale of Kingdom of Ash. I’m not going to get into details of the individual characters, and who I loved, because I couldn’t. I loved them all. You couldn’t even call out a “supporting” character, because they all held their own. From now on, every FMC will be held to the standard of Aelin Ashryver Galathynius. The crown belongs to her and Sarah J Maas. This series did for Romantasy what the MCU did with all those standalone hero movies before the epic finale of Endgame. I loved this series so much that I went through my reviewing app and reassessed all the books I had reviewed so far. I then took them all down a star, so when I handed Kingdom of Ash a five-star review, it would prove it deserved the maximum rating.

Prepare to hear me forever compare to this series until the end of time. To anyone looking for investors in an on-screen adaptation, I’m here and ready to throw any money and my husband’s drum set your way! I will be eternally confused how ACOTAR gets all the hype above this series. I only wish I had read this sooner.
