Missing Girls & Lost Boys was always set to be a trilogy––and that still stands. Everlee Clade’s journey will continue to play in the perfectly rounded-off series... but then there’s more. I knew the backgrounds of these characters as much as I knew the plot points and ending of this story. And I’d often brought up how the prospect of Three Men and a Baby with Roscoe, Malcolm and Rex, figuring out how to raise a baby while being hunted would be great to write more of. But word count and pacing never allowed anymore than the flashbacks I including in book one. And I always knew how Leon, Atlas and Zeke’s rise to becoming bounty hunters for the Renegades was a story with a difficult journey. AND, I know very well what Robbie and Alex were like, long before he ever met Everlee.
So welcome to the ‘Before Chapters’. After much excitement of these stories , I decided to put them to paper. Since the extent of things which went wrong around Road to Eden’s release, I never quite felt in the headspace to end the Missing Girls & Lost Boys trilogy. A part of me wasn’t ready for it mentally, and I didn’t want to do the series finale a disservice. So with what is potentially the biggest procrastination move of my life, I decided to write another book.
This will be book 2.5. To be read after Road to Eden and before Endgame, but you could read the trilogy without them too. Either way, they will be dark origin stories as to why our heroes became so dark and brooding.
