I can see why people are warned about how difficult it is to be an indie-author. The amount of plates I’m spinning in the air during this is mind-boggling. My job requires me to understand and manage logistics daily, and I also manage marketing, so I genuinely thought I could breeze through this. But thank God, I at least knew business, logistics, and marketing before I began. The e-commerce side, the website building, the ARC management, the final book edits, the marketing, marketing, marketing. Ahahahaha. It’s a ‘you have to laugh or you’ll cry’ situation.
But it’s all coming together in its own beautifully chaotic way.
I received and completed my final edits on MISSING GIRLS AND LOST BOYS. That in itself is a massive achievement. Following that, I posted the e-reads out to the ARC team. There’s a delay on the physical print, so I’ve sent the file to all ARC’s, in case there’s some who want to get a head start. With the approach of Christmas, everyone is busy, and I’m already super grateful for those who have agreed to read. But we’re almost there, guys. The e-read is live on amazon ready for pre-orders, which is crazy. I cannot believe, little ol’ me has anything available to buy on the internet , but here I am with a website, and an Amazon and Goodreads author account. I genuinely cannot believe it.
